Loose trim at open railing vs floor ending? tips wanted

I've installed new flooring on the upper floor of the house and I'm having a mental block about how to solve an elegant trim to cover the flooring's edge at the railing. See the picture and you'll surely understand.


I was possibly considering using a stair nosing of this model, but I'm unsure if it will look good: https://www.byggmax.se/golv/metallister/trapplist-silver-p140112

Does anyone have any other ideas to share?

That trim is always tricky.
I think it depends a bit on appearance. If you want metal, fit in a stair nosing like the one you linked to.
Otherwise, I would cut pieces of some thin trim and place them first between the balusters, and then they meet a trim that lies on top of the floor, filled, sanded, and painted white just like the railing.

I actually just went and bought a hörnlist at Byggmax that I'll cut where the spaljé is.. it was quite thin so it will be great on the floor and over the corners
