A bit long maybe, but it might not matter, 3.5 mm should fit, right?

Contact Sifvert-skruv. They know everything about fasteners. If they don't have the screw in question in stock, they can probably find it. According to their own information, they can sometimes manufacture screws as well.

Checked their catalog, but came up short. Thanks anyway. Visiting Hornbach first. Then possibly renewed contact with Sifverts.

Yes. Their catalog is also a bit annoying since it's about 350 pages and it's unclear where to start. It's easy to miss an item, and as mentioned, they don't catalog everything. If it's not at Hornbach, call and talk to Sifverts.

Here you have a screw 4.0x70. You can almost drive it in without drilling.
But drilling up 1 mm should be fine, right?
Drilling up, or preferably drilling new 4 mm holes is doable.
Link?

Have you checked what sizes of screw heads the dons allow for? For my dons, no small heads are needed.

I checked yesterday. Assembly screw head works.

I added it to my post after a minute. You're too fast :)

The electrical department at Hornbach turned out to be the goldmine I was looking for.
I assume that the 100 mm long screws are intended for mounting electrical boxes to wooden studs.

Yes, Hornbach surprises from time to time. What diameter did the screws end up being?

3.5x100 i.e. the one that Peter2400 linked to above.

I have been looking for these. I usually nail the boxes in place, but it creates extra work if they end up in the wrong spot.

Perfect indeed. Had the same problem a month ago. I was going to put up a curtain rail and had 70 mm to wood to attach behind the ceiling panels just where it was supposed to sit. It turned into a different solution, but long slim screws do solve some problems actually. I'll have to make a trip to get some for the good-to-have box in the assortment box.
