Hello,
renovating the bathroom and trying to fix the walls reasonably, primarily trying to seal against adjacent rooms for moisture.

We live in a log house, built in '73. Single-story with a basement, bathroom on the ground floor. You can see that they've built the log frame, roof, then put up the ceiling, and lastly built the interior walls "floating" against the ceiling. When you look at the nails holding the wall studs in place, it's made for a movement of about 1 cm lift.

Anyway, the question is: How much is it reasonable for a single-story log frame to move in height over a year? That is, the movement in ceiling height.
