I have a summer house with an old Contura Futura "stove" that weighs about 125 kg I have been told...

It has fallen due to age/efficiency...

I have floor joists that are 34 x 120 with a distance between the joists of 600 cc.

How heavy a stove with chimney can I have? I want "mass" to store heat...

Any other tips to increase the load capacity?

Now I may not be answering the question, but most "lighter" stoves are mainly soapstone for the sake of appearance... You need quite a lot of stone for it to make any difference, and when you've found out what it costs to reinforce (what sounds like a fairly weak) floor, and build a real stove, I think you will regret it...

How big is the cabin, and how often are you there? A modern fireplace insert heats up a small cabin quickly...

The cabin is 45m2 in total, the room where the stove is to be placed is 17m2, I want the stove because it’s cozy and a balm for the soul to sit and look into the fire, and I want it to retain heat for a long time... No electricity on the island...

Well, that one weighs 1.6 tons...
I don't think you put that on a floor structure....
Nah, that seems to be overkill....

50% of the heat retained after 18 hours doesn't sound too excessive, I think?

The overkill was the heavy stove...

Retain heat for a long time = a lot of stone = heavy...

You can't get something light that retains heat, it's as simple as that...
