House built in 32
what do you think about this wall. considering opening it up.
See that 4-5cm thick planks are joined together and go above the 30s ceiling.

The opening is not large, but should it be unloaded?

  • Wooden wall construction with peeling paint, showing 4-5cm thick planks in a small opening above a 1930s ceiling.
  • Close-up of a wooden wall with exposed planks and debris on the floor. A flashlight illuminates a section, highlighting potential renovation work.
  • Blueprint of a house with a highlighted wall section.
Most indications suggest that the wall is load-bearing. Most of the interior walls in your house consist of 2-inch (=50 mm) standing tongue and groove planks. You cannot continue to demolish without first propping up the floor above. Even small openings must be reinforced.

Hey, understood that and stopped demolishing. A carpenter is taking over and compensating.
Thanks for the help.
