Hi!
My partner and I are renovating a bit in our newly purchased old house. The house has an extension of 35 sqm which serves as a living room. This part has a "wall" made of a trellis that extends halfway into the room. I started demolishing it to open up because it's so terribly ugly, but since it's so incredibly well-made, I'm starting to wonder if it might be load-bearing. I don't think so, but it feels almost too well-made to be just decorative. It's mounted between solid beams in the floor and ceiling. But maybe it's just someone who was very ambitious?

What do you think, can a trellis be load-bearing?

Ps. The extension has no upper floor.

Normally not, but it's hard to assess without being able to see what it looks like.
Especially if you think "it's so incredibly meticulously done."
Picture?
