Currently demolishing the bathroom and have now reached the studs. Got a bit concerned when I saw how it looked where the door had been, so the question is, is this a load-bearing structure? See image.

  • Wooden studs and framing in a bathroom during renovation, questioning if it is a load-bearing structure.
Difficult to answer like this with a small image.

On which floor is this located?

Is it the roof truss visible above the horizontal beam?
A larger image might help.

Hi!

What floor is this on? It is on the entrance level, with an attic above.

Is it the roof truss visible above the horizontal beam? No, it is just a very thick beam.

Do you not have a drawing of the house?
How is the horizontal beam positioned in relation to the roof truss?

Unfortunately, no drawing. I went up to the attic and checked, and the rafters are about 30cm inside the joist in the ceiling. In the picture I attach, you can see the vent, and the rafter is to the left of it.

  • Roof interior with exposed beams, ventilation pipe, and plastic sheeting. The rafters are positioned approximately 30 cm inside the ceiling joist.
Is the beam aligned with the rafter or is it across?

It is located across
