Hi, I need help with checking which are the load-bearing walls. Can someone help me? I am attaching a picture. Thankful for your response. Kind regards, Muki

  • Floor plan layout showing rooms including bedrooms, kitchen, living area, garage, and walls with measurements, displayed for identifying load-bearing walls.
You need to add more pictures... roof/floor/roof trusses etc

Hi ArneTW
The house is one floor. I don't have any roof plans, is it okay if I take pictures with my mobile phone?
Kind regards, Muki

Hello
Hello again

I am sending a picture

  • Wooden attic space with visible wooden beams and flooring, suggesting renovation or construction context. A single ceiling light is also visible.

The wall that I have outlined, I want to remove; one side is the kitchen freezer and kitchen cabinets, and the other side is cabinets for clothes

  • Wall with an arrow drawn on it pointing upwards, beside an open closet door and a trash bag in a room with hardwood floors and adjacent kitchen.
  • A kitchen area with wooden cabinets and a tiled floor, featuring a red arrow pointing towards an archway leading to another room.
The wall you want to remove is not load-bearing. The house has truss roofs resting on the exterior walls. A bit tricky is that some interior walls are still load-bearing. This applies to the wall between the living room and the conservatory, as well as the walls that separate the laundry room and bathroom from the boiler room, storage room, and likely also the small bathroom.

Hello again
I have started tearing down the wall and here is how it looks.
Could it be load-bearing or not.

  • A partially demolished wooden wall, possibly load-bearing, in a home renovation project.
That's not what a load-bearing wall looks like.
