Hello,

We are in the process of replacing the siding on the house and garage, and eventually, we plan to better match the roofs of the buildings. I would like to hear your thoughts on the load-bearing capacity of this W-construction. Currently, there is only tar paper, and the scenarios we are considering are tile/concrete/seamed metal. The worst-case scenario also adds solar panels on the south side to the right. Do I need/can I reinforce the construction in a relatively simple way?

When I see examples of Swedish wood, the upper frame is usually stronger than the lower frame. In my case, the garage was extended by the previous owner, and they went from one door and a low-slope roof.
Lower frame 2x8”, upper frame 120x45. Span 7.2m, and the roof slope is more towards 17 degrees than 14.

A garage under renovation with open front showing wooden structure, missing panels, tools inside, and construction materials outside on a gravel driveway.
