Lightweight concrete and heavyweight concrete
Hello,
When and where is hard concrete used, where you need to use a rotary hammer to drill a small hole and a hammer drill is not sufficient?
Is it only in newer buildings, if so from which year?
Is it used both on ceilings and walls or just one?
Thanks in advance

I'm guessing the 60s with prefab cast houses in the million program. Apartments from the 50s are usually brick/plastered and easier to drill into. But it can probably vary quite a bit. Sometimes some load-bearing walls are concrete while non-load-bearing walls are brick, etc. But concrete is an old technique as mentioned.
Hard concrete is used on e.g. industrial floors and similar surfaces where there is a risk of heavy surface wear. Ordinary concrete, on the other hand, has been used in most other constructions since the 1950s in Sweden and, as mentioned, has been used for a couple of thousand years with successful results. Light concrete is a new phenomenon that should not be associated with the aforementioned at all.
