Hello,
I am in the process of installing a leveling floor in our garage that we're converting into living space at home.
At the same time, we're going to replace the front door and install sidelights next to it.
On the leveling floor, we will lay LK floor chipboard and underfloor heating, then apply self-leveling compound and lay tiles.

Now to my question. What is the best way to handle the front door? We have prepared with new studs at the door to raise it as much as needed due to the leveling floor, but we need to time the door replacement with having a floor to set it on.

My thought is to finish the floor in the hallway and then later replace the front door and simultaneously raise it to the same level as the finished floor. Is this the right way, or do we need leveling studs with an air gap under the front door as well?
