I have propped up my furniture against the walls, but on the other hand, I probably don't have any modern chests of drawers, so my drawers probably wouldn't have slid out anyway..........:)

I can't get it better than this. Now with the insulation.
Wooden floor joists in a room, ready for insulation installation; visible radiator and unfinished walls in the background.

Room under renovation with insulation and wooden beams on floor; flooring materials stacked on the side, awaiting acclimatization before installation.
Floor purchased. Now it gets to acclimate until next weekend.

Nice thread, did it turn out well in the end?

P
Yes, it turned out great. I can take a picture tomorrow when it's light outside. Installed a 25mm solid wood floor that was treated with white-pigmented hard wax oil.

Nice! So the purpose of the new reglar was; 1. Stiffening, and 2. a flat surface since they stick up above the old ones?

P
Exactly!
Here is a picture from when I was screwing the floor.
A partially installed wooden floor with visible insulation and a drill lying on the boards.

Light wood flooring in a room with a white desk, chair, and bookshelf. A striped rug is partially visible.

Hello...
Reviving the thread.
Two questions:
1. What dimension was used for the studs that you reinforced with?
2. How close between the screws when you glued and screwed?

It's been too long so I actually don't remember. I think it was 195 studs that were glued and screwed at about 40 cm intervals, but as I said, it's almost 5 years ago.

Hey...
I understand...time flies.
:)
Thanks a lot anyway.
