Would need some left-threaded eyes, alternatively hooks, with wood thread. Dimension about 80mm long, 15-30mm eye, thickness 5-6mm. Can only find right-threaded, does anyone know if left-threaded even exist anywhere?

Hard to believe since left-hand thread is not usually used when it's not needed, but now I’m curious about its area of application!

Why left-thread?

I've never heard of left-handed wood threads. Like the others, I ask why? It makes you curious, doesn't it?

Haha, yeah, I understand it sounds like a somewhat unusual request.

I'm going to connect a joint in a wire fence (placing a bracket on each side of the joint) and wanted to be a bit frugal and try using a hook + eye instead of a turnbuckle or eye bolts. I was thinking of eyes in one bracket and hooks in the other - but if both are right-threaded, it won't tighten at all... and tightening first and then attaching the hooks, well, you can't fully tighten it because then you can't reach the hooks...

But I guess I'll have to find some cheap small through eye bolts or turnbuckles...

Doesn't this variant work?

Ha! That one looks practical! You can't see it clearly in the picture, but I assume the pin has a hole that the wire goes through, a square head that you turn on the back, and it locks itself from spinning backward?

I also saw among the related products that they actually have cheaper turnbuckles, but they call them sträckskruvar...
