I am building a foundation wall for a greenhouse. I have bought Finja's base blocks with a notched top.

Now that I have laid everything, I realize that it won't be level on top because of the notch.

What is usually done about that?

Do you turn the last block so that the notch is down?

Now that I have laid them with the notch up, what should I do to get a level top?

I see a few different options: either apply a layer of mortar or fine concrete, or plaster it level.

What is usually done, what are your best tips?

Can't you just cast the gap? What does it look like now? Can't find exactly which blocks you mean.

Close-up of a concrete wall with a groove approximately 1cm deep, intended for reinforcement bars, with visible rough texture and surrounding gravel.

Here's a picture.
The groove is meant for the rebar to lie in, as I understand it.
It is about 1 cm deep.
Fine concrete needs 2 cm thickness, so it might be a bit tricky to get it right, I think.

Turn the stone.
Form with a plank on each side and cast.

OK, so normally you turn the top stone?

The tip is to cast a small ledge with boards as a mold?

What does the sill look like on the greenhouse, prefab or stick-built?

It will be loose lumber. The sill will probably be two layers of 45x195mm.

Tipset är att gjuta upp en liten klack med brädor som gjutform?
Normally, you set a U-block in the top course, reinforce and cast to a flat surface.

In your case, it might not be needed regarding the loads, in any case.

Don't complicate it. You're supposed to plaster the wall, right? Then plaster the top as well.

Fill in with cement mortar, it has the same strength class as rödbruns used for grouting the leca stone.
