Laying Triofol in attic. Double?

Hello.

Now comes a question that is probably stupid to you.

I am going to insulate the attic and will lay Triofol on the floor and then tape it to the beams. Now, Triofol comes on a roll. It is folded double. Should it remain double on the attic, or can I cut it so it becomes single? On the roll, it is too wide to fit between the beams.

What should I do? Grateful for a quick response. I'm sitting with the roll in front of me.

It is folded in half to be manageable...needs to be unfolded
