Hello,

I have a patio along the back of our split-level house, the patio is built on the roof (made of concrete) of a storage room on the lower floor.

As a moisture barrier, there is a 4-5mm thick asphalt sheet. On top of that, there is currently a poor construction of metal studs and pressure-treated wood, and we are now planning to remove that structure and lay stone slabs instead.

But my question is whether one can set the stone in adhesive, and what type of adhesive should be used in that case, which works on top of an asphalt sheet. The stone supplier is currently investigating but did not think their usual adhesive would work as it might burn through the asphalt sheet.

Thanks in advance,

Jens
