I have tiled over the countertops in the kitchen with a classic white tile with beveled edges. The problem is that I've left what I think is a bit too large of a gap against the countertop, about almost 1 cm.... Now when I'm going to apply sealant against the countertop (and an inner corner), I realize that it will look quite ugly with such a wide sealant... I guess there's not much to do unless there is some kind of trim or something else to put in instead of sealant...

the inner corner was also done a bit sloppily and will require a chunky sealant to look nice...

Long shot to ask, but you never know :)

Is there any way to raise the countertop?

No, it won't be easy... I'll end up ruining some things, so I won't go that route. Unfortunately, the alternative will be a thick mjukfog unless I've missed some smart solution.

When we renovated the kitchen in our previous apartment a few years ago, we bought a type of strip with rubber edges that was attached using brackets screwed into the wall, and then you pressed the strip into place. The in-laws bought it in Denmark, so unfortunately I don’t have a link, but I'll see if I can find it.

Naturally, a regular seal would look nicer, but in this case, it might be an alternative.
