We are about to start building a split-level villa and are now considering how to construct the basement. We want to do as much as possible ourselves and the options we have are to build with Leca blocks (which we use to build an extra wall with insulation inside), Thermo Kub (with panels inside), or Lammi house blocks (only plastering). We are leaning towards Lammi house blocks because we would then get a "solid/hard" inner wall and outer wall that only need to be plastered. Also, it ends up with roughly the same final cost. The difference between Thermo Kub and Lammi in insulation is 0.16 W/m²C and 0.25 W/m²K, but on the other hand, Lammi will probably be more robust and require less work.
I would love to hear some opinions and if anyone has built using any of these methods, I would gladly welcome some experiences from there as well.
Best regards,
Rickard
