Just had a go with Kiilto Kerasafe glued with K2 waterproofing/glue. It was one piece of fabric, followed instructions to a T - watched videos and read product sheets, etc. However, it felt incredibly difficult. The fabric didn't adhere and kept coming off, I had to use twice as much waterproofing as indicated (for 3m2 on 1 piece of fabric sized 1.5x1m). The substrate was leveling compound and wet room gypsum on the walls. Primed with Keraprimer.
Strange, I expected them to be amazing products. I saw there was another old thread (2012) about this, same experiences.
Anyone else used Kerasafe + K2? Experiences?

Hi KJD!
I am well familiar with the products, and it sounds like too much time has passed from when you rolled K2 until you laid the fabric, which causes the rubber to skin over and the adhesion becomes poorer. Kiilto's recommended 0.4 kg per sqm should be enough to install the fabric without any issues.

Thanks Kalle, good to hear that it still works in the normal case.
It was assembly (against the self-leveling compound surface) more or less directly, but I suspect I applied too little primer on the gypsum, where I also had the most problems with adhesion. I reached it with the scraper only after a few minutes, so likely these factors contributed to it.
I stopped after the first sheet, and would have continued today but it got too late.
The result so far is still quite okay with fitting, evenness, and without bubbles. Used some extra keraprimer on the gypsum and letting it sit overnight, so we’ll see tomorrow. Maybe not optimal to split it up like this, but that's how it goes.
I probably made unnecessarily high folds on the wall too, because I had pipe ends sticking out 20 cm above the floor and I wanted to get a waterproof layer over them.
0.4 kg matches well with what I had measured, 0.65 kg (half the bucket) for 1.7 m2.
My impression was still that it's a product that requires a bit of experience to work with.

Completed the remaining strips and achieved better adhesion with double priming of gypsum. The seller replaced the adhesive and picked one from another batch just to be safe.
However, it feels like there is a sensitive and short "open time" on the adhesive, and this should be highlighted more clearly, some might think. Or it's not a product that can just be picked up and used; rather, one simply needs to practice a few times. Also glued corner pieces with just Keraseal (brand new), and there too it is extremely sensitive, perhaps especially if the substrate (in this case previously installed Kerasafe membrane) is not perfectly flat.
It almost requires practicing first on a scrap piece of gypsum, or a spackled surface.
