I have removed the old attic spaces in our 1940s one-and-a-half-story house. The old attic spaces had doors and could be used for storage; they had no insulation against the floor or roof except for masonite. Now I have moved the wall so that this becomes living space, but what should I do with the new "attic spaces"?

They will now be completely closed off, and at first, I was just thinking of putting down OSB and drywall, but then I started to wonder if they should be insulated, ventilated, or just kept closed with a possible inspection hatch.

The conditions are an uninsulated and unventilated attic with a vapor barrier (paper) that ends where the old attic walls met the roof.
