Hello
Does anyone know how to attach studs for interior walls and studs for internal insulation on a 25mm pine floor? Some just screw them, some suggest using washers so it can move.
What should I do to allow for the movements of the wooden floor?
Metal or wooden studs?
The floor is laid on 600mm studs.

Do you mean real wood flooring or parquet? If it's floating parquet and the wall is meant to be permanent, I would have marked the walls on the floor and sawed it up. If I was renting and did not own my property and absolutely had to put up a wall, I would have used double-sided tape on the bottom plate and set the studs a bit in tension against the ceiling. For real wood flooring, you could just nail or screw the wall in place.

It's real wooden flooring, and the house is mine so I can do whatever I want. However, there will be 45mm joists around the room and 70mm joists for dividing the room. I'm then worried that I'm fixing the floor too much so that it ends up warping.

Just let the studs press between the ceiling and the floor. Attach with angles to the wall and screws to the ceiling. Place underlay paper between the studs and the floor so it can move. Is it a good solution? (I have to screw the interior wall into the floor)
