Hello,
I'm considering filling the joints between timber framing and plaster with lime mortar.
I was planning to mix the mortar with small stones to fill most of the rather deep joints.
The last centimeter or two I thought of using just pure mortar mixed with horsehair.
My questions are as follows:
1) Is this the correct approach
2) How much hair should be used and how long should the pieces be cut.
3) Should I fill the joints gradually and let it dry between layers or just "go for it".
4) Any other tips?
