Joint on double drywall

Planning to install double plasterboards. Is it necessary to have staggered joints? (If so, it will require a lot of extra studs). Anything else to consider, like the distance between screws, etc.?

You stagger the drywall by half a sheet, and use the same studs as for the first layer...

I might be rather slow, but if I shift the panels, I can't screw where the plasterboard is lower (where you're supposed to put the "paper tape") or maybe that doesn't matter? Maybe it's enough to screw the panel in the middle?

But... If you've framed cc60, the board is 120 and you shift the next layer 60cm, then you can screw it the same way as the first board. Might need longer screws, but otherwise, I don't understand your problem?

You offset the boards by 600 mm (if you have 1200 mm wide boards), then the edge will be placed on the stud that is directly under the rear board.

So, you start with a half board.

It is 600 cc studded. Therefore, I was thinking of 600 boards, I had completely missed the thing about 1200 boards. So I guess it will have to be that then... Totally missed the mark!

If I adjust there on the first layer and then shift the second layer by half a board, the "indentation" of the second layer will end up in the "air".

The indentation is not a problem, but if that's what you're worried about, you can always go around the room and smooth it out with putty before the second layer. Overkill in my opinion though

At the same time, it would have been nice if one could stack 600 boards on top of each other where the joints align. This way you avoid bringing home large 1200 boards from the hardware store, 600 are easier to handle.
