Yes - as the title suggests, do you need to put wind barrier on the gable peaks?
I am now replacing the panel (Vertical board and batten 170 + 45mm). I will build out with studs to reach the level I have under the gable after additional insulation. The attic is a cold attic on a one-story house with eave ventilation and large vents at the "peak."
Not a huge expense, but not fun to cover a peak by myself.
Grateful for thoughts.

I would put up tar paper. Or boards. It's not so fun when it blows freshly over the insulation.
