I am attempting some house fixing and sprits. I got a suggestion to insert the plug before the fix has set so it also gets cast in, which sounds like a good idea.

I'll report back with the result in a couple of days.

If it's hollow brick, try using an expansion plug for drywall that expands behind the first layer.

That was actually my first thought, so I pushed one in, but the fact is you have no idea how it really unfolds on the inside unfortunately.

Now I have filled the holes with about 7 dl of heavy-hitting house fix. Since it's hollow blocks, you could stand there forever pushing in the fix, so you had to go by feel when it was time to finish the hole.

I first started with the piping bag, which worked quite well for getting it in deep, but after a while, you had to press so hard that the bag became weak. However, I'm impressed with how much strain the Biltema piping bag could take without breaking. When the piping bag no longer worked, I cut open the bag and used a trowel and one of the previous plugs to push in the mass, which worked a bit better as you could press in a bit more.

As I said, since it was hollow blocks, it felt like it never ended, but having gotten 7 dl into the wall, it should be enough, one would think.

However, I unfortunately missed an important aspect, I never wetted it, and the fix seems to dry quite quickly, so there's a risk it will crack a lot now.

This is how it looks so far:

The holes below that are also repaired are filled with regular spackle from earlier, obviously, I missed smoothing it out.

What will be on the wall are probably 3 brackets supporting a shelf, the weight can be as much as 20 KG, but it shouldn't be a problem for a wall like this, I hope.

I chose not to push in the new plugs because it likely would have been difficult to get them in the exact right position. Additionally, much harder to smooth out so that the wall really became straight.
