Hello.

Very sorry to bother you with a new thread, but I never figured it out. If someone who is sure of their answer could reply, I would be grateful.

An apartment I'm looking at has the building constructed as follows:

---

The buildings are constructed with a slab on grade with underfloor heating, apartment-separating walls, and wood-structured floors. The facades consist of painted vertical and horizontal wood panels. The roof is covered with concrete tile. The entire apartment has oak parquet flooring with underfloor heating, and the walls and ceiling are painted white. The kitchen is equipped with a Marbodal kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and stove. The hall and entrance have tiling inside the door. The fully tiled bathroom/shower room has tiled floors, a sink with a cabinet underneath, a mirror, a toilet, and a shower corner, as well as a washing machine. 1 apartment has a storage room with tiled floors and painted walls and ceilings. Heating is provided by district heating and distributed through water-borne underfloor heating. Each apartment has its own meter for heating and water consumption.

What I've been alarmed about/made aware of is the so-called "single-stage" facade, where there is no air gap. But, is this something that only occurs when the facade is plastered, or can it also be as described above?

When I google and google, it seems to be a common problem if you have a plastered facade, or am I wrong?

Feels like I might be making a mountain out of a molehill here. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a straight and good answer.

You can always reply in the existing thread instead, instead of creating a new one. ;)

Single-layer sealed facades usually refer to plastered facades. Theoretically, you might also encounter panels mounted without an air gap, but from the description you quoted, my first thought would not have been to worry about a potential lack of an air gap. But why not ask that question to the agent/seller?

You are right. Both in that I should have replied in the old thread and that it is as you say.

Got hold of the builder, he verified that it is a wooden facade with an air gap. Signed the contract about 30 minutes after my post.

Thanks for the help everyone.
