Thank you in advance to those who take the time.

I am currently framing for insulation + drywall on an existing wall where there is already an embedded door frame with a door that will remain. I am using 70 mm metal studs and have understood that you should reinforce at the door opening with wood, or alternatively use a reinforcement stud. My question is whether it is really necessary, since I will not be attaching any door frame to the new wall?

Best regards,

Joachim
