Is it possible to repair wind barriers

Hello!

I have a problem with a wasp nest that has established itself inside the wind barrier next to a roof truss. The question is, can one cut open the wind barrier and then repair the hole, and how does one do that? I have no desire to start removing battens to replace the wind barrier if I don't have to.

I can't reach the nest from the inside because the roof truss and collar tie are in the way.

There is tape for joining the fabric, so it should suffice. You should really only need a small hole to be able to insert the nozzle on a (un)suitable spray can.
