I just conducted an experiment. I drilled a hole in the basement ceiling, which is made of lightweight concrete. I used a regular wood drill bit. Then I put in a yellow wall plug and screwed in a screw hook. I then tied a string to the hook and pulled until it came loose. It took quite a bit of force for the plug to loosen. The concrete closest to the surface cracked when the plug came loose. Can a fischer gb8 handle this better? If so, explain why. How many kg can a gb8 handle in a lightweight concrete ceiling?

Lightweight concrete is very difficult to assign kg to as it varies enormously, and the only way to really know is to test. I think lightweight concrete screws are the best for heavy mounting, but they also become somewhat sensitive to jerks and impacts.

With lightweight concrete screws, 100% of the threaded part should always be in the lightweight concrete.
