I'm planning to frame a ball wall on an existing concrete wall inside a barn. Do you think 10 mm thick OSB boards would be sufficient, or will it be very "springy"? Are there cheaper and more suitable boards?

Why isn't the concrete wall working? :)

Built with concrete blocks sometime in the 50s.
Uneven and bumpy, so I guess it would be quite dull.

There is a net to stretch if it's just the balls that need to come back :)

Otherwise, the OSB should work fine :)

OSB that doesn't rest against the entire board will rattle terribly when balls hit the wall. I've been in a gym where they installed a special variant of plywood meant to dampen sound on the lower part of two walls. When a ball happened to hit the wall, it sounded like gunshots compared to before with plain plastered walls. So plastering the wall smooth is my advice.
