Is it fine to screw a universal screw 50mm into an interior wall consisting of GIPS + OSB? What I am going to screw up is 15 mm deep, so there is 3.5 length left, i.e. I'm worried about screwing into an electric cable (which is in a conduit in the wall). Don't know where

Isn't it possible to use wood screws that go into and almost through the OSB board but don't extend into the cavity where the electrical wiring will be?

Now I don't know what kind of screw you were thinking of. But the length works well anyway, so just screw it on.
