Hello,
We are planning to convert our garage into a bedroom and a new utility entrance.
The current slab in the garage is uninsulated, so we plan to use a leveling floor and on top of that, lay water-based floor heating, then laminate/parquet in the bedrooms and floor gypsum->tiles in the utility entrance.
As mentioned, on top of the leveling joists, I plan to lay grooved particleboard flooring, but I wonder what to do with the interior walls. Do I lay grooved particleboard flooring over the entire space first and then build the interior walls on top of them, or do I start with the interior walls and then lay the particleboard flooring against them?
The reason for using Nivell is solely because it is what we have been recommended by the carpenter who has assessed the work. However, one of the advantages we see is being able to lay the loops for piping to the different rooms in the cavity under the insulation.
