Interior wall not attached to ceiling joist
I'm going to divide a room into two in the living room by putting up an interior wall without a door; it will be inserted into an existing wall.
I will use 70mm metal studs and have OSB and then drywall on it.
As my plan is now, the wall will run along one of the ceiling joists in the inner ceiling but not so that I can attach the new wall's ceiling joists to it. Instead, it will be attached to the ceiling's drywall.
Should I be worried about whether it will hold?
The wall will be just over 3 meters long and 2.48 meters high and will divide the living room so that it becomes a smaller living room and a new bedroom.

It's no problem. Just use molly or another suitable plaster anchor/plug.
If you still feel unsure, you could add a line of glue as well, but keep in mind that it will make it more difficult for anyone who might want to take down the wall in the future.
