I have no weatherstrips in my windows.
I've been advised to use lemafix.

Maybe my brain is temporarily sluggish, but...
I can't wrap my mind around it.
According to the instructions, you start with the top piece first.
Then the side pieces.
And lastly, you take the bottom piece.
I understand that you have to start a bit away from the final position so that the slanted track on the fitting guides the rebate against the frame.
But it feels like the length of the rebates and the track have to be very precise for it to fit in the end. To avoid gaps. Soft sealer is all well and good, but it's better if it's tight from the start..
And the placement of the screw holes for the fittings.
Will it work well?
Wouldn't it be good to glue the short end of the side rebate pieces to make it stronger? Meaning the part that goes against the top and bottom rebate piece.
Anyone have experience with these fittings?

I have never seen the product, but spontaneously it feels like it's very easy for it to go wrong. Are there any adjustment possibilities at all, or do you have to get everything exact at once? And is it possible to loosen the smygen again without ruining it if it ends up a bit crooked?
SBH: Okay, but you have to attach it to the frame somehow at least. How does it work with the alternative?
Andersmc: Well, what is the alternative if you don't have salningsspår? With this fitting, you don't have to screw anything through the reveal, thus no spackling, and no gap against the frame that grows/moves.
I assume you do yourself a favor by buying the jig for the drill hole, or make one yourself, like bending a Z, but with right angles, one of which you place against the outer side of the frame, and a pre-drilled hole of 6mm that you then drill through.
I feel like I get the idea of the installation/advantages, but I'm a bit curious if anyone has real life experience so to speak...
