Hey,

I'm a complete beginner when it comes to building, and I'm planning to furnish a built-in garage in our future house.

The garage is part of an extension of the house. The area is around 20m2 and the foundation is a concrete slab. The three outer walls consist of Siporex blocks with plaster on the outside. The inner wall towards the house is an insulated brick wall. The garage has a two-door gate intended to be bricked up. Please see the attached drawing.

Could someone explain how this could be done? Would it be enough to frame the walls with steel studs, install insulation and a vapor barrier, and then drywall, or is something more complex required to achieve adequate insulation?

What layers are required on top of the concrete slab to be able to lay some type of click-flooring?

Thankful for all responses.

Ok, I found a good image that might show how a floor should be.

Concrete slab - air gap - stud - insulation (Styrofoam?) - OSB - floor. Is that a correct understanding of how a decent floor should be?
