I was planning to insulate the exhaust air duct a bit more as I think it loses temperature to the exhaust air heat pump depending on how cold it is outside.

I have looked at 2 options so far:

1. Paper-covered construction mat at 95mm with lambda value 36
2. 2 x 95mm Insulation mat (lambda 40) + age-resistant plastic over the insulation mat.
3. Any other suggestions?

Option 1 and 2 cost about the same per sqm/kr, I'm unsure how the lambda value is calculated. Does anyone know which option provides the best insulation?

"Regular" insulation is enough. The paper-covered one is completely fine.

You should not wrap the insulation in plastic.

Is there any disadvantage to putting plastic over it?

There are simply no advantages.
See it as if you are placing the vapor barrier on the outside of the house wall.
The exhaust air duct contains warm air, and there is no risk of humid cold air condensing on its surface.

If it's to achieve a "neater" surface, I would rather cover the insulation with wind fabric or use that paper-covered insulation you mentioned.
