Insulate roof floor 2

Hello
I am going to lower my ceiling by 28 mm to install new electrical wiring and add beadboard. I thought I would take the opportunity to add some extra insulation since it's an old house and it's a bit cold on the floor upstairs.
Tips on insulation are gratefully received

It's not that much, but regular glass wool should work, right?

Hi,

If we're talking about the joists against the outer ceiling, it won't help with the cold floor in the intermediate joists. 28mm insulation makes very little difference, barely worth the effort it takes to insulate between the batten and electricity.

If we're talking about the beam layer against the outer roof, it won't help with the cold floor on the intermediate beam layer. 28mm of insulation makes very little difference, hardly worth it with all the work involved in insulating between the sparse panel and electricity.

then the floor on floor 3 will get even colder
