there are some threads about this, but...

Here's the situation, we have a hillside house that we have drained with Isodrän underground. Above ground, we plan to insulate with foam plastic and then apply plaster on top of that. But we plan to have a deck around 30-40% of the house (where the basement is underground) so that part of the foundation will not be visible once the deck is in place. My thought is then, to save money and time, to skip the plaster on that part of the foundation and only use foam plastic.

Does that idea work?

Some form of protection should probably be placed over the cell foam. There are "plinth panels" made of fiber cement that are suitable.

What is the price of these?

Through a construction contact, I can buy facade panels (1150*3050) for 840 SEK each + VAT directly from a professional company.
It's 240 SEK/sqm including VAT. According to that company, the facade panel works just as well as the base panel.

How does it work with the foundation's "breathing" if you use foam plastic directly against the foundation?

Yes, I'm wondering that too... Perhaps an air gap is needed? Does anyone know?
