Hello,
I am in the process of installing tongue and groove paneling on parts of the facade that I have replaced. I thought the wood is at its most damp when it comes from the lumberyard and hasn't dried completely and therefore won't expand more than it currently is.
But now I am uncertain. I have installed the facade so none of the tongue is visible, i.e., the tongue and groove are completely compressed.
Is what I've done correct, or should there be a gap left? It is 17x95 double-rebated tongue and groove paneling.
