Hey, I started installing MDF panel ceilings and didn't really think it through.

I started with staggered seams, using the leftover piece to start the next row, creating a step pattern.

But what should I do in a few rows when the last piece is really small?

Should I start stepping up again or start with a full length?

Use the really small piece. It looks odd right away if the seam offset isn't uniform across the entire roof.

Use the small piece or switch to half-length offset

Use the very small piece. It looks strange immediately if the joint offset is not the same across the entire roof.
I understand, but I mean when the smallest piece I can use has been used... should I start with a whole panel or step it up?

A whole.
