Maybe a dumb question but, what is best on a not so large wall with a door. To place drywall with the "joint" horizontally aligned with the top of the door or vertically with the door frame? If anyone understands what I mean.

eee, no, I actually don't understand

Are they extra high walls? Or why aren't you installing them the usual way, i.e., placing the plasterboards on the floor and raising them against the wall? Do you mean if you should lay the boards down or stand them up?

Preferably, you should offset the seam so it is not along the door in any of the ways, it's more stable that way.

Understood that it was hard to interpret that =) I quickly drew a picture, maybe you'll understand. So should I place a board against the wall from floor to ceiling, and put a piece about 90cm above the door, or should I make the joint in the other direction?

  • Sketch showing a doorway on a wall with dashed lines indicating possible placements for panels above the door, questioning vertical or horizontal seams.
The joint should be placed over the door to prevent cracks in the wallpaper from forming easily.

Perfect! Thank you so much =)
