Hello.
I have finished installing OSB in the garage. Time for drywall. I'm wondering if it's possible to set all the panels on the first bottom row standing next to each other. I don't have scaffolding yet so I can't reach higher. Maybe it's okay when there's OSB behind it? So the seam ends up on the same line all around.
I saw this picture online and got a bit concerned. The second picture is of the wall in the garage.
Grateful for any answers.

  • Illustration showing correct and incorrect plasterboard joint placements with specific instructions for wall and ceiling installations.

Isn't it much easier to lay the gypsum horizontally in this case?

Edit: How did you get the OSB up?

We actually got it up with ladders. The thing is, we have all the building materials on the floor and I was wondering if we could put up a row of 270 gypsum boards to get rid of a bunch of gypsum boards from the floor. Eventually, we will have built enough to bring in scaffolding, and then we can start with the ceiling.
