Hi, I'm in the process of furnishing a basement bedroom and I'm considering how to attach drywall to the walls without moisture issues. There are 2 exterior walls that are underground, and against one of the walls, there were wardrobes across the entire wall with a 45x45 gap between the wardrobe and the wall, and there was no moisture or mold at all. Would it work to place 22x95 vertically with some spacing from the concrete and leave a gap at the top and bottom for air circulation?

Nothing organic in the wall, it’s all about metal tiles.

Use metal studs otherwise you're creating a risk construction

Alright, I'll go with metal studs. But is it enough to leave a gap at the top and bottom for circulation?

Gypsum is not good in a basement as the paper absorbs moisture and can easily mold.

Okay. I've been considering using pre-made beadboard panels. Is that a better option? Then I thought of another thing. How do you deal with the electrical outlets that are already on the walls? I want to move all the outlets but how do you do that in the best way?

No, they are made of MDF which also molds. The best is to plaster the walls and paint with an open paint.
