Hi,

We have a kitchen that looks like this:

We are now going to install cover panels on the underside of the wall cabinets where they will be routed out for a light strip. This means that the cover panels must be fastened with screws from the inside of the wall cabinets. Of course, we do not want screw heads in the way of the porcelain, so we need some form of screw with a countersunk head.

This is what the screw that comes with the cover panel looks like and the screw I found in my storage.

You can see that the included screws have much tighter threads, does this matter in this case?

Another question is whether a light strip should go all the way to the wall or stop a few cm away? That is, the recessed strip for counter lighting.

Glue instead, so you avoid ugly screw heads, there are plenty of mounting glue options for such jobs.

Yes, I've received suggestions to glue it before, but it becomes less fun if you need to replace the cover plate or even remove it. If you have countersunk heads, it won't be too bad in the cabinets, and you probably only need about 8 screws in total for the large piece.
