Hello.
I am going to replace an old stove boiler with a modern cast iron stove at the ancestral farm. The chimney sweep has already been on site and approved the chimney stack, so it is okay.
The entrance from the old boiler is not at the right height for the new one.
The wall is normal chimney brick, and a new hole needs to be made.
My question. Is regular KC mortar suitable for sealing the old hole and sealing around the new inlet pipe?
