I have acquired granite window sills with the dimensions (w/d/h) 1015/178/30 mm. Pretty substantial, so what is recommended to mount this in a drywall with 60 cm on center between the studs. Is it sufficient to mount with metal brackets and drywall anchors where I don't hit a stud? The weight is about 15 kg per slab.

Is it a shelf that it's going to be used for? Or should it hold if someone puts their hand there and leans on it? Is it single gypsum?

Window sills should withstand someone leaning against them and a few kg of potting soil, so they are usually well anchored in the wall structure, not just in plasterboard.

No, but a lamp, flowers so a little weight like you say. Need to rent a stud finder, should be able to find a stud or two 🙂

In houses with wooden stud wall construction, there is usually a stud on each side of the window to which the window frame is attached. Often, these studs go all the way down to the floor, so those can be good places to start looking for studs.
