Unfortunately, I missed planning for the spiral staircase when we laid the heating pipes in the concrete slab. This means that I can't screw down the plate that holds the staircase's central pillar. Shouldn't it be possible to glue this plate to the concrete instead? I don't think it involves such large shear forces, in my opinion. Or do I have to cast a ledge that I can drill and plug into?
