I have acquired a roof ladder that I intend to install on a metal roof. I've read a bit around but I'm not quite sure about the rules. Sure, I could call and inquire, but I just thought I'd check here if someone has a clear understanding of the rules for roof ladders, fastening, etc. The house is from '75. The roof has a slope of 5 m. Is it enough if you lay the ladder over the ridge and screw it in there, as well as attach it down by the eaves? Anything else to consider when mounting a ladder?

Grateful for tips and opinions.

I should add that I have aluminum sheet on the roof, which I understand is not really approved (< 0.5mm). I have no desire to change the roof, so I will brace underneath the roof to make it stable. Then we will make other adjustments if the chimney sweep requires it in the future.

What kind of roof is it? Google weland, on that website there are assembly instructions for various types of roofs and heights.
