If you install OSB and plasterboard with staggered seams as required for fire safety, should you only screw into the studs when installing the plasterboard then?? Otherwise, you would puncture the moisture barrier everywhere, right, or how do you do it??
 
The best option is, of course, an installation layer in front of the plastic. If that's not available, I would have tried securing to the studs but wouldn't have worried too much about the potential holes that a drywall screw might cause.
 
The screw plugs the hole if the screw is not removed.

Answer yes. Both layers should be screwed into the studs.
