Install floor skirting directly from the hardware store's outdoor storage?

I am going to install new skirting boards in a room, 2 meters long with corners on each side if it matters.

Does the skirting need to acclimate before I install it, or can I take it from the hardware store's outdoor storage, then cut it and nail it directly, or will the skirting then shrink/warp and not fit tightly against the wall or floor?

let the baseboard sit in the room for 2 days before you cut it
